The Flower Arranging group meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at The Swan PH, Rayne.

We bring along our own flowers and accessories – we each make as much or as little effort as we wish. Personally I usually arrive armed with too many flowers and am overloaded with bits and pieces that I think will enhance my creation.. I usually rely on 'pinching' some greenery from one of the other group members as I have no access to any at home.

We discuss as a group what we are going to be working on each month and the ideas are very varied

I enjoy the planning, and attempts of making mine look as good as everybody else's. It has to be said I usually fail at this, but it really doesn’t matter – there is no competition and no prizes.

It’s mostly a case of spending a happy morning with others and hopefully learning some of the art of flower arranging along the way. The biggest problem is transporting our masterpieces home and them arriving in one piece!

Happily the group is gradually expanding so we now have a new venue (St. Peter's Hall) This means we can welcome even more interested members.
